Pascha House is also a community for those who are addicted to drugs or alcohol and/or suffer from depression, bi-polar disorder, or other life controlling problems – often called dual-diagnosis. At present it is intended for young men between 17 and 32 who have already successfully completed at least thirty days of in-patient treatment and are ready to move to a transitional living program within a thoroughly Christian context.
Our goal at Pascha House is to begin to heal the root, the underlying soul pain, that drives addiction so that the possibility of relapse is greatly reduced. We do this through a process of Pastoral Counseling, Spiritual Direction, frequent use of the Sacraments, prayer, worship and Scripture. We gradually introduce the stressors (like employment) that trigger addictive behavior and coach the student in dealing with these stressors in increasingly healthy ways.
Our students are first disciples of Christ, then watchmen of the heart who walk in recovery, and finally mature disciples who can serve Christ.
